'Stella' Cherry Tree

  • Looking for sweet, dark-red, aromatic eating cherries? Look no further. 'Stella' is a simply stellar fruiting cherry variety, boasting excellent flavour and texture.
  • Heavy-yielding and with a lengthy cropping season lasting several weeks, this variety grows well in British gardens and holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
  • Versatile in nature and responding well to pruning, 'Stella' is an ideal tree for fan or espalier training. It's also self-fertile, producing good crops without a partner tree.
  • A late harvest variety, your cherries will be ready to pick from the tree from July through to August. Eat them fresh, bake them into a cherry and almond cake or use them to press your own cherry juice!
  • Colt Rootstock: Max size H4m x W4m Rootstocks restrict the size of a tree to make it more suited for an average gardenMORE
  • Cordon Trained: Max size H2m x W1m This tree has been pruned and trained to create a cordon shape, which will result in a narrow upright tree, with only short side branches. This is perfect for smaller spaces, whilst still produces a good amount of fruitMORE
  • Dwarf: Max size H1.5m x W1m Patio trees are pruned and trained to be suitable for growing in pots, on patios. This means they will be fine with their growth being restricted and produce a productive little treeMORE
  • Our potted trees are supplied in EcoPotsℱ. Eco pots use 70% less plastic and are fully recyclable, unlike normal single-use pots. They flex and so produce less root spiralling and travel better in the post.MORE
  • Our trees are usually between 18 and 36 months old at the time of dispatch.
  • Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching. This formative pruning can involve cutting the main leader if the expert tree growers decide this will produce a better-shaped tree. This can stop the tree from becoming "leggy", and promote stronger, bushier growth.MORE
  • Our mature trees are grown in Air-PotsÂź, the only type of pot to completely eliminate root circling. A unique design stimulates air pruning for a mass of healthy fibrous roots, which results in a healthy tree that will establish quickly in your garden. With each Air-PotÂź made to last up to 20 years, we reuse them on the nursery and wrap your mature tree in hessian for delivery - but if you’d rather keep your tree potted, simply add an Air-PotÂź to your basket along with your tree.
